We've all had this happen to us; you're in a public restroom, close the stall door and then realize in horror that there's no lock. Now you don't have to wait for the person beside you to get out with this small and convenient device.

The Stall Stopper's ingenious design lets you carry around a portable lock on you at all times. When you enter the stall simply place the Stall Stopper on top of the door so that it can't swing open. For that extra bit of polish, the Stall Stopper has the word Occupied printed on the outward face.

#stall_stopper I agree with jesu.
Until today I would think something like this could only exist as an afterthought of a paranoid lunatic. Lots of those I guess. Unfortunately, those you pander to are probably too scared of germs and/or rape to venture into public restrooms anyway.
Don't take this too personally, I just think there needs to be a bit more down to earth balance. To me there is a surprising lack of criticism here ...

#stall_stopper If you carried around something like this for every possible problem you may encounter you'd have to carry a back pack everywhere. I think things like this reduce the resourcefullness of society. What are you hiding in there anyway?

#stall_stopper Yes, ABC and the production companies are working on my product and they do have the rights for now. The feed back I am getting is very positive and the companies and financial institutions hitting my web site prove that. I am very excited and grateful to ABC and the show American Inventor, as most of you know how hard it is to get a product to market. Product awareness is all important to get it on the shelves and the show gave me that.

#stall_stopper That's great to hear Sharon! Are you waiting for permission from ABC? I heard they get first rights for distribution for one year. It all must be very exciting. There's a product on our site called GiftTrap that we recently featured and just a couple of weeks ago they landed some major distribution deals. So I hope to hear about some big deals with Stall Stopper soon!

I am the inventor of the "Restroom Survival Kit" and "Stall Stopper". I have had hundreds of responses on my web site from wanting to produce, market, sell and mostly buy my product. Thank you Omar for keeping my product in peoples minds as I am still waiting for permission to move forward. There are companies looking at my product and hopefully this will be in the market place soon.

#stall_stopper I agree with you zippo. I watched that show religiously and I always wondered if the finalists would be successful after the show was over.

#stall_stopper If you know me, you know that I was ridiculously obsessed with American Inventor. I was underwhelmed by this invention, but I guess it's cheap, small, and practical. Wait, did I just change my opinion?

#stall_stopper I think all you need is to encounter the problem once for it to be useful. It's one of those simple Always Be Prepared kind of things. They've actually created a whole restroom survival kit which includes a toilet seat cover and mini toilet paper roll.

#stall_stopper I remember this one from the show American Inventor! I thought it was a good idea at the time, so simple! Although, to be honest, I haven't encountered this problem enough to make me want it really badly.
