The Pros:Performs on-par with Canon 70-200m counterparts at a significantly lower cost - A/B photo comparisons are virtually impossible to differentiate. Color definition is sharp, rich and natural - ideal for wildlife and nature-based photography. Quick-release lens collar is an excellent feature - drastically reduces changeover times for spontaneous shooting.
The Cons:Lacks image stabilization technology - inexperienced users may have a difficult time shooting without a tripod/monopod.
