Schweppes Tonic Water is perfect for a refreshing cool drink, or as a mixer for alcohol. It's probably the most popular brand of tonic water and can be found in most places that soft drinks are sold. Schweppes started producing tonic in the 1870s.

It was soon popular with the British in India, as it contains quinine, which was used as a preventative measure against malaria.
