The Pros:Bright HD LED-backlit monitor with respectable resolution. Good price to features ratio. Includes new Intel Core i5 and Core i3 processors.

The Cons:Poor battery life, larger models fall into desktop-replacement category. Monitor produces a lot of glare in brightly lit conditions, poor viewing angles for a multimedia laptop, no model with full 1080p resolution. Keyboard feedback might not be the best for everybody, arrow keys awkwardly jammed in changing traditional keyboard layout which may lead to typing errors.

Series of mid-range multimedia laptops released by Samsung in early 2010.

Ample storage space and memory. Slower internal HDD speeds can be alleviated with faster external drives connected through eSATA for demanding applications. HDD and memory are easily upgradeable without voiding factory warranty

Trackpad, while adequate, not very ergonomic, single-area button that is flush with the casing can be difficult to use in the dark. Laptop, with its trackpad to the left and arrangement of USB ports for connecting external input devices, is not left-hand user friendly
