Ketty Robinson: #rugged_notebooks_rough_rider_max Rugged Notebook has recently launched Eagle Series, which is made up of extra rugged laptops. This is a great product for someone who works in challenging environments. Even if there are any accidents, the laptop will not be damaged and all the data inside will remain intact. The only problem is that of the price. Standard laptops with a similar configuration are available at $700-$900. Is it financially viable for you to spend nearly twice that amount for a rugged notebook? The weight too is a matter of concern. http://www.onlinenotebook.com/rugged-notebook-launches-eagle-series.html Oct 16, 10

Erik: #rugged_notebooks_rough_rider_max You could easily run through laptops that way. It's a pretty niche market that would need such a rugged laptop, and the price point wouldn't matter as much as the robustness. Jul 20, 06

Amanie: #rugged_notebooks_rough_rider_max Woah! 5000 bucks is very steep. You could just buy 1 laptop, a backup system and then another laptop when the first one breaks. Unless of course you're trekking through the jungle. Jul 20, 06
