Pioneer VSX-D509S
$435.00
Released January, 2011
The Pros:Priced low enough for entry-level users. DTS playback is clean and true to the original recording. Plenty of power output, more than enough to drive larger surround speakers.
The Cons:On-screen display doesn't show everything, have to sometimes guess at certain features having turned on correctly. Takes a long time to work out all the connections, need to spend time with the manual. Manual is poorly written and a bit confusing.
