Pioneer HTP-2900

$199.00 Released October, 2001

Product Shot 1 The Pros:More digital inputs than expected at this price point. Setup is more intuitive than usual for this type of system. Speakers and subwoofer are reasonably compact and fit well in most small-medium sized rooms.

The Cons:Receiver is very large and may not fit all cabinets, buyers should measure beforehand. Volume display adjustment is bizarre, counts backward from -95 to 0, takes some getting used to.

The HTP-2900 by Pioneer is a home theater system that features five speakers and a powered subwoofer giving a combined 860 watts of power. The reciever is capable of decoding Dolby Digital and DTS signals, as well as Dolby Prologic II.
