Philips 42PFL3403D/27
$1,500.00
Released April, 2008
The Pros:Wide range of inputs, can work with a large number of devices at once without needing a receiver. Sound output is great, can get pretty loud and is always reasonably clear. Excellent sharpness, small details are clearly visible.
The Cons:Bezel seems a bit bigger than necessary. At this price point a 1080p resolution is more common. Colors are either too vibrant or too washed out, depending on the setting.
The 3400 Series is Philips' entry level line of high definition LCD televisions introduced in 2008 and feature a native 720p resolution. For more information refer to the full Philips 3400 Series report.
