flaflashr: #nikon_coolpix_p2 From the instant you press the shutter release button, there is a delay between 0.5 and 1 second until the image is captured (the time it takes autofocus to occur). While this is fine for still portraiture, when photographing live events it kinda' sucks. I think this is common for all digital cameras in this price-class. A baby's smile can easily disappear in the time it takes to capture.

Workaround is to press the shutter release halfway, allowing autofocus to occur, then wait until a good instant to click the rest of the way.

Also, I have trouble getting the WiFi to work. The software I received only supports XP. I have XP on one machine, but it is wire-connected to the AP through a router. The software will not recognize this setup. The laptop that I have with a wireless card has Win 2000, so no go. Also, NO support for Linux. Oct 7, 07
