The remote and nunchuck simulate real movements- like juking and passing. The Wii mote also allows for play selection to be improved. It is a smoother experience thanks to motion control. There is also a robust multiplayer with Wii exclusive games and modes. Fans may be turned away because of the lack of multiplayer though.
