#lotus_sanitizing_system These postings are old...... I just purchased the latest model and it is beyond all expectations! There is simply no way to explain every benefit unless you try it. It did take me a few weeks to start really using the Lotus in all areas of home and office and even at our school. Now we can't say enough about it!

#lotus_sanitizing_system I've got one and it works great. Even if you don't believe or trust the part about pesticides and bacteria (which I do), it absolutely works as a cleaner. I have a white carpet in my living room, and this gets it clean. I've gotten out some tough stains including smeared chocolate...that alone is worth the $130 you can get it for at Costco online. In addition, I put the charged water in a spray bottle and it makes an
excellent deodorizer. I actually bought one for everyone in my family!
@b: this is NOT the water purifier (although the shopping links are for the water purifier). That's a separate unit. I have that too, and it
also works extremely well. Ironically I have a glass of water purified with it next to me as I'm typing this. Read the rebuttal to the CR report on the Tersano web site. As to this unit, I doubt there's a CR review because there's no other product in the same category.
The sanitizing system was also one of Time Magazine's products of the year for 2006.

#lotus_sanitizing_system It is the only water purifier to get an unequivocal thumbs-down from the respected ad-free U.S. magazine. The bottom line from
CR:
"When it worked, the Tersano removed lead, chloroform, and bad taste well. But because of the problems we encountered during testing, we suggest you avoid it."
Asthmatics should be especially wary. And any Canadian angle is a red herring.

#lotus_sanitizing_system I think there were number of independent review but they all done in canada or something given this is an canadian product, unlike the "ionic breeze" which sharperimage made (OEM) it themselves.. this product looks like run by a very passionate group of people in canada. I have it... it works great... but like many of you I always wonder if it actually works...

#lotus_sanitizing_system I agree with you, gustador. I'm usually skeptical of such claims without proof from an independent lab like Consumer Reports. In fact, CR has debunked the claims of The Sharper Image already with their "Ionic Breeze" line of air purifiers, which they proved are ineffective and a waste of money, and so-called "ionizers" which actually pollute the air with harmful ozone rather than purify it. Perhaps they'll do the same with this very expensive and as yet unproven product.

#lotus_sanitizing_system I would like to see more testing from an independant company. I've seen products tested by "professionals", but I would love to see Consumer Reports or any company without any personal/monetary gain test this and promote/demote this product .

#lotus_sanitizing_system It does sound pretty cool. I always wonder, though, if I'm just getting sucked in by their marketing and the *idea* of chemical free versus it actually working really well.

#lotus_sanitizing_system just saw this on HGTV's I want that kitchens and it sounds like a great idea. Like all products showcased the price is always higher than what the consumer would want to pay. I think using less chemicals to clean is a great idea esp. baby items.
