MimosaDrive:
#lg_42lg70 Bought TV new in Feb 09. Picture was great but started getting a flashing "This Function Is Not Available Now" message. Every time that appears the only way to recover is to unplug the TV for a couple minutes. Happens 8 to 10 times per day. TV also turns on by itself 4 - 5 times per day.
Called LG for service in early Mar 09. They had to order 2 new main boards, which took 3 weeks. After they installed new boards the flashing message still occurred even more frequently. LG picked up the TV at the end of Mar 09 and has had it at their facility since. Supposedly they are still waiting for parts - not sure what is left to replace. From the # of similar complaints with this TV I find on Google, it appears that this is a common problem with LG TVs. I still don't have the TV back.
