FujiFilm FinePix S1600
$249.95
Released June, 2010
The Pros:Zoom has a good range and stays sharp throughout. Macro is excellent at getting sharp photos of tiny subjects. Can put the camera very close to the subject and not suffer from a blurry image.
The Cons:Zooming while recording video causes it to lose focus. Occasional lockups in video recording and noticeable imperfections. Flash setup is a bit awkward and takes some getting used to.
The FinePix S1600 is a mid-range point-and-shoot camera from FujiFilm, to be released in 2010. It features a 12.2-megapixel resolution and, more notably, 15x optical zoom. Few details are available, but the S1600 will likely lack some of the more advanced features of the S2500HD, possibly including optical image stabilization.
