Free People Julip Wedge

The Julip Wedge by Free People is an interesting example of a classic design tailored to a modern style. The wooden wedge is nothing new, but to give it an added modernistic twist, the style is rounded, creating a smaller heel and taking away some of the bulk commonly associated with wedges.

The unique design creates an illusion of floating, as if the wearer isn't really wearing shoes but rather standing atop some sort of platform. This illusion is increased with the simple upper leather straps, a straightforward V design that is anchored by a straight across strip.
