#2006_specialized_hardrock_sport_disc I purchased my Hardrock Sport Disc because I needed a bike, and the price/features were a good combination, even though I did not need a mountain bike. I ride exclusively on concrete bike paths, and the OEM knobby tires are truly not meant for this type of use (duh), and while you get superior puncture protection, it kills when you are pedaling with more effort than you should.
After two years riding on the OEM knobby tires, I switched to 26x1.75" Michelin Country Rock tires, and the difference in ride is amazing, and although I'm not looking to beat the land speed record, the ride feels faster. Everything else on the bike is stock, and I'm happy with it. It is a very solid (heavy) bike, but fine for me. I have the black/gold model, and it looks sharp.
